1. Extended warranties are worth it. If your TV does go on the fritz seven years down the line (and that’s a big if), statistics say you’re going to buy a new one rather than have the old one fixed.
2. Buying in bulk is the best bargain. Don’t assume shopping wholesale is cheaper; sometimes the difference is only in the number of items sold together. For example, the drugstore is selling four rolls of toilet paper for $1, the warehouse might be selling 12 rolls for $3.
3. Booking flights two weeks in advance will get you the best price. Two years ago, yes, this was true. But not anymore. In the increasingly competitive airline market, you can expect to get the same price whether you book your flight two weeks or two days before you want to fly.
